Please read carefully. These Terms govern your use of Target1M's websites and the Spectra non-custodial wallet. They include important limitations of liability, a binding arbitration clause (where enforceable), and disclosures specific to cryptocurrency and self-custody.
1. Agreement to the Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a legally
binding agreement between you and Target1M
(“Target1M,” “we,” “us,” or
“our”) governing your access to and use of our
websites at target1m.io, the Spectra wallet
application, and any related products or services (collectively,
the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services,
you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound
by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Services only if you:
- Are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher);
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
- Are not located in or a resident of a Restricted Jurisdiction (Section 3); and
- Are not subject to applicable sanctions or listed on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
3. Restricted jurisdictions
You may not access or use the Services if you are located in, organised under the laws of, or a resident of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions (currently including, without limitation, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine), or any other jurisdiction in which the Services are unlawful. Additional jurisdictions may be restricted at our or our service providers' discretion to comply with applicable law.
4. The Services
Target1M is an independent software studio. The flagship product relevant to these Terms is Spectra, a non-custodial multi-chain wallet application that allows you to generate and manage cryptographic keys on your device, view on-chain balances, send and receive supported crypto assets, execute on-chain swaps via third-party liquidity sources, and (optionally) purchase crypto assets with fiat through our integrated on-ramp partner.
5. Non-custodial nature of Spectra
Spectra is a self-custody (non-custodial) wallet. This means:
- Your private keys and recovery phrase are generated on your device and stored only on your device.
- Target1M does not have, never receives, and cannot access your private keys, recovery phrase, password, or biometric data.
- Target1M cannot freeze, reverse, recover, or otherwise move your crypto assets.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your device, your recovery phrase, and any backups.
- If you lose your recovery phrase and lose access to your device, your assets will be permanently and irreversibly inaccessible. We cannot help you recover them.
6. No financial, legal, or tax advice
Nothing in the Services constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or a solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any asset. Any market data, prices, performance figures, or educational content provided through the Services is for general informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or out of date. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and should consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
7. Fiat on-ramp via MoonPay
Fiat-to-crypto purchases initiated from within Spectra are processed by MoonPay, a third-party regulated payment service provider, not by Target1M. When you initiate a purchase:
- You enter into a separate contractual relationship directly with MoonPay, governed by MoonPay's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy;
- MoonPay independently performs identity verification (KYC), sanctions screening, and fraud monitoring;
- MoonPay determines whether to approve, decline, or refund a transaction;
- Pricing, FX spread, and fees are set and disclosed by MoonPay before checkout;
- Target1M does not hold any portion of your fiat or crypto at any point — purchased assets settle directly to the self-custody address you control.
You can review MoonPay's terms at moonpay.com/legal/terms_of_use .
8. Your responsibilities
You agree that you are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your device, your seed phrase, and any local backups;
- Reviewing every transaction (recipient address, asset, network, amount) before broadcasting it — blockchain transactions are irreversible;
- Selecting the correct network when sending or receiving assets; sending an asset on the wrong network may result in permanent loss;
- The accuracy of any information you provide, including the email address and wallet addresses associated with your use of the Services;
- Compliance with all laws applicable to your use of the Services, including tax reporting obligations;
- Promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account-level data (such as a waitlist email).
9. Prohibited activities
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
- Conduct, facilitate, or finance money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, fraud, market manipulation, or any other illicit activity;
- Transact with sanctioned persons, entities, or jurisdictions;
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security or technical features of the Services;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any non-public component (except where permitted by law);
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Services in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Misrepresent your identity, jurisdiction, or eligibility;
- Use the Services to gamble where prohibited, to purchase illegal goods, or to facilitate the sale or distribution of child sexual abuse material or other illegal content.
10. AML, sanctions & fraud prevention
Target1M and its service providers (including MoonPay) maintain policies and controls designed to detect and prevent money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions violations, and fraud. We may, at our or our service providers' discretion and to the extent permitted by law, screen transactions, restrict or terminate access, refuse to process a transaction, or report activity to competent authorities.
11. Risk disclosures
Cryptocurrency involves significant risk. By using the Services you acknowledge and accept that:
- Crypto asset prices are volatile and may go to zero. You may lose all of the value you put into a transaction.
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Mistaken transfers, wrong-network sends, and phishing attacks may cause permanent loss.
- Self-custody means you alone are responsible for the security of your keys. No one — not Target1M, not law enforcement — can recover lost assets.
- Smart contracts, decentralised exchanges, bridges, and third-party protocols may contain bugs or be the target of exploits. Interacting with them is at your own risk.
- Regulatory treatment of crypto assets varies by jurisdiction and may change at any time.
- Network congestion may cause failed transactions, high fees, or unpredictable settlement times.
12. Intellectual property
The Services, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks, are owned by Target1M or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
13. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third-party services, networks, and protocols (including MoonPay, blockchain networks, DEX aggregators, and node providers). Your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL TARGET1M, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR CRYPTO ASSETS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTORY LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Target1M and its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of, or inability to use, the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) your violation of any applicable law.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Because Spectra is non-custodial, terminating your access to our software does not affect your ability to recover your wallet using your seed phrase in any compatible wallet application.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Target1M is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual (non-class) basis, except where prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
